Lactate Threshold

Hi all,

On my previous 935 the lactate threshold screen showed my threshold HR and threshold pace. On the 945 it just seems to be stuck on 180bpm and not showing any pace? It also reads manual entry above the bpm number. Checked settings and it is set to auto calculate. What do others show? is this an issue?

Any help or advice would be very welcome

Mine shows lactate hr and pace. Sorry I'm no help, but it did seem to work for me.

Maybe it's from imported data and the watch itself hasn't calculated lactate threshold for you?

Do the test or run good Fartlek to trigger it :)

At least I've not triggered it and it says "Manual entry" and just the bpm.

Thanks, thought the same thing, however I have run a good few sessions such as 60mins with 6x2min sprints along with a few tempo runs so would of thought it would have calculated by now. will give it a week or so to see if it kicks in. Just wondered if others also showed it as 'manual entry '. Thanks for the response

It will need you running on different HR levels on the same activity to trigger it.

I think you should wear HRM strap for lactate treshold test. So maybe this is a problem?

I don't think this is the case. I got a LT reading at a race on Wednesday when I was just using OHR so I don't think it's needed.

'This feature requires a Garmin^® chest heart rate monitor. Before you can perform the guided test, you must put on a heart rate monitor and pair it with your device...' - this is from the Lactate Treshold test instruction for Fenix 5. Don't think there is any difference for FR 945.

By the way, I don't think it is very useful if you know that this is about 90% of your HRmax.

Hi,
my LTHR stucked after switching form 935 to 945 (May 2019). New 945 never detected lower or higher LTHR. With 935 my LTHR was detected minimum twice a month. With 945 never during 4 months. Nothing changed, only device. I run always with HRM-RUN. Anyone with the same issue? Maybe synchronization of Physio TrueUp from 935 to 945 did an issue?
