So unless I am mistaken, for the 945 and music/podcasts we have the 2 basic options:
1. Connect to a computer and "manually" (sorta, I know you can set up 'watched' folders etc) transfer songs/playlists/podcasts over. I've done this and I like this free, easily-controlled method.
2. Go with a "streaming" service which to my knowledge only currently includes these 3?
Spotify
Deezer
Runcasts
I haven't yet signed up for a premium Spotify account which seems to be required so I gave Runcasts a try over this weekend. You can do minimal podcasts transfer (I think something like 3-4 at a time) using their free service. $5 a month gets you unlimited subscriptions/transfers.
So I pulled down the app and signed into their site on my phone as required and started to sync the podcasts over.
And my 945 froze. Button presses would activate the backlight but that was it. I had to do a hard-reset/reboot.
So, more wary this time, I tried it again. The entire process all over again. It got to the sync part and my 945 froze again. Argh.
Glutton for punishment perhaps, but I tried it again. This time it gave me a message that my 945 was below 50% battery and I should plug it in before initiating the transfer. So I did that and it worked!
I pulled down 2 podcasts episodes (DCRainmaker's "Fit File" if you're curious) and it didn't take very long, but they're also relatively short podcasts.
Anyone else with experience using Runcasts?
