Inbound call notification not appearing in Android when screen locked?

Does anyone have an issue where an inbound call does not post the notification to the 945 when the screen is locked? This is happening on a Pixel 3, latest vAndroid and NOT during an activity. This works fine on the 935 btw and all other smart notifications seem to work fine as well. If the screen is UNLOCKED the notification works fine as well. Anyone else? Any solution?

Which screen is locked when you experience this? Phone or 945?

Just tried it with screen locked on both the 945 and my phone (running latest GCM and android 9). Incoming call notification works as expected.

Yes, sorry, if the Android screen is locked then when a call comes in there is no notice on the 945. Eventually I get a missed call notification that DOES show up on the watch but the watch does nothing while the call is ringing...no vibrate, message, etc.

Actually, just confirmed this on the old 935 and it's not working either. So it's either Garmin Connect Mobile or something with Android? Anyone with a Pixel 3 can confirm how this works for you?

Looks like it's either Connect Mobile on Android or Google Phone latest update...just noticed traffic on this in the Connect Android forum.

FWIW I uninstalled Google Phone on my Pixel 3 which reverted the the firmware version and now the notifications work. Seems something Google changed in their latest app update broken notifications in Garmin Connect Mobile somehow.

Just installed the latest version of Google Phone v34.0.253691707. The problem still exists...incoming call notifications still do not alert the watch.

Fyi, this is still broken. Google Phone released another version yesterday, same problem still exists.

It's all about app permission. I struggled a lot with this issue trying to understand how to fix it. If you use Google phone dialer you need to allow all permissions to phone app. The fact is that this is working after a while, not immediately... Really don't know why...second thing, if Google phone dialer is not the native dialer you if your phone you must set it as default app for calls. Last but not least, if your mobile is Xiaomi, set Battery optimisation to "no optimisation"

That's not the problem. On my pixel 3 it is the default dialer. And as soon as I upgrade the phone app I've added all permissions to the phone. This doesn't change anything, no notifications on the watch. Please explain "allow permissions" if there's something else specific to do. Thanks.
