HRM bug in FW 2.50?

I’ve seen this happen 3 times today, anyone else?

heart rate reading about double and when you look under the watch there are no green lights on! When they switch on HR readings appear more normal.

I’ve powered the watch off and on but just saw it again! You can see the chart jumps to 135, the watch shows 129 but as soon as the lights come on it drops to normal. Pulse was checked with a Kardia ecg and was 69 on that device.

  • Doing it again this morning, then I noticed a message flashed up that it had connected to a Tickr Chest Strap that is hanging in my bathroom!! Turning that connection off appears to have fixed the issue.

Now to try and work out why the Tickr was "on" and broadcasting an HR!

  • Was your TICKR sensor connected to the strap and if yes, with both contacts?

  • Interestingly, when I connected my 945 to my desktop computer yesterday and opened Garmin Express, an ANT+/BTLE sensor update popped up. I didn't notice it in Connect Mobile or on the watch itself prior to that.

  • Yes. Something ***.

Today went for a swimrun.. After the training, I didn't manage to download HR data. Ok, my battery died...

At home, changed the battery, checked that it can be then connected to 945. No luck.. Umm what, did the whole HRM die?
Well, let's take the OLD TRUSTY 935.. oh, it connects! WTF? Let's reboot 945 and like "magic" it connects again.
No HR data thought because I took of the battery I think it deleted it.

And then told FB about this ***, came here, saw this post, and then 's comment and yes, there is update.

Well, hopefully it also fixes what my problem was....

I think with 945 I've had the worst new watch experience from 945 than any other Garmin Watch that I've had (405CX, 310XT, 920XT, 935, 945).

  • I changed the battery of the HRM tri band this monday and now the 945 can not find it (no problems with the 820), however without problems with the scosche rhytm
  • Well, I reboot and it connects again to hrm (yesterday I did the same, and only works with Stryd (lost connection also this week)).
