After update of bluetooth and to version 2.50 watch always restarts when starting run activity

Hi guys,

I‘m actually on holidays in the alpes with my family. I noticed today an update of bluetooth software and an update to version 2.5. I wanted to go out for a run tonight. I‘m using a Garmin HRM chest strap and the Stryd v3. However, when I start the run activity then the watch restarts over and over again. Running is not possible. I also wanted to try the navigation on the watch. This is really disappoiting me that nothing is working at the moment as expected.

Anyone else out there with the same issue?

sorry to hear about your mishap

is it also restarting when using other sport type activities

have a acable and computer at your disposal ?

when yes

clean folder content in ACTIVITY, MONITOR, METRICS, SLEEP, NEWFILES, REMOTESW
any large files in folder GARMIN or any files resembling xxxxx.GCD type

when not

deactivate stryd datafield
restart the watch by pressing and holding the light button for more than 15 seconds until the screen goes dark
go to the update menu in the watch and check if there is any update available
sync again via Garmin Connect

success repairing

Garmin is present on the runscribe forums

also trouble with the Runscribe CIQ datafield

so who knows with this new firmware what causes it to restart
