Disable searching for heart rate after swimming?

Is there any way to do this? It's incredibly annoying to have to wait for that search before you can save the session. EVERY TIME. If you wait too long to answer the following question, it goes back and you have to search again... Just bad design. And it's been like that for years.

Agreed, if it never paired to an HRM at the start, there will be nothing for it to find anyways

I agree that this is not only bad design, but it's also part of Garmin's long list of anti-competitive actions. If you are using a competing HRM, it won't save HR data from it and still prompt the search. This violates international law, not that Garmin cares.

Does the competing HRM support store and forward of the HR? It is compatible with the technique Garmin is using?

It does and works for other activities without issue. It even works for swimming unless you have made the mistake of paring one of Garmin's HRMs with your watch. That's what makes it so anti-competitive, Garmin is breaking support of competitors ' devices in favor of their own products, which is disgusting and illegal.
