Bug report: Live tracking sending wrong link in email

Hi,

So yesterday I used Live Tracking on my new 945. I've used it on 935 many times before without any problems.

It's configured to send email. Now, it turns out that the link sent out in the email always displays "This livetrack session was cancelled or does not exist" (exact wording may be different, it's displayed in my native language, not English).

Anyway, when I stopped the activity 4 hours later, the app displays what the link is, and it's a different link from what was sent in the email; and this link works!

So, livetrack works, but it appears that the wrong link is sent to people. And I can't send them the correct one until after I've completed my run.

Not sure how to report bugs (this is not a beta bug, I'm running 2.40, with latest ios connect app) so I figured I'll share it here. Hopefully someone at Garmin will take note.

  • I've been getting this also, since last week, but only periodically.  Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.  But last night the weirdness of it escalated.  I have my Livetrack emails sent to my email as well as my husband's email.  We each got our respective emails when I started my run last night but the link in HIS email gave this error and the link in MY email worked and showed me the map and data.  Same run.
