Hey i owned a lot of different garmin watches and now the 945 - i thought with the Elevate 3.0 this behaviour would get better as it not also records 1s during 24/7 period - but seems like its not getting better.
I see this almost every day - it seems like the heart rate sometimes during day is "stuck" too low - means when im walking around where the hr should be around 90-100 it stays low at some 75-85 and it seems its not able to pick up the "real" heart rate and stays lower that it should be.
When restarting the watch again it picks up correct heart rate and behaves normal until this happens again.
Seems like only restart the watch is resolving this heart rate "stuck" or "lock" problem.
It cant be the hardware as i saw this with every garmin i owned (fenix5, vivoactive 3 , vivosmart etc ... all the same )
Why is this happening ? Why is garmin not able to accurately measure 24/7 heart rate without such values "stuck" on the low side ?
I think this has something to do with some kind of "high power" "low power" mode - perhaps the device is not waking up from low power mode when it detects movement ? is this a bug doer a feature ? :D
from my understanding when it detects movement it should flip into high power mode and get better heart rate readings as when its in low power mode sitting around or sleeping ?
