Footpod (Stryd) calibration - bug?

I switched from a 935 to the 945 and have the Stryd set to "pace and distance always". Auto-calibration is off and the factor ist set to 1.000 (on both watches). With the 935 distances always were on point on measured courses. But with the 945, footpod distances are falling short (like 3-5%) compared to GPS.

Is there a known bug in footpod calibration? I'd suspect the 945 is auto-calibrating even if set to off... Does anyone else have the same problem?

  • I'm also short some 2-3% when running a pace between 5:30 min/km and 7:00. At a pace around 4:00-4:30 min/km it seems to be more exact. (< 2%, most of the time at 1% short. NEVER to long...) I'm using the same settings (1.00 and auto calibration off)

  • I had the same experience when moving from the 935 to the F5+ last year. While I had to use a value around 98.5 for the 935, I had to use something around 102 for the F5+. Like you I noticed that distance was too short all of a sudden. So I did verification on a measured course again and things stays stable since then.

    F5+ -> 945 the calibration-value stayed the same though.
