LiveTrack on 945. "An error has occured."

Hi,

to start LiveTrack, I navigate in CIQ to the Live Track settings page. This loads (short running man animation), then displays but at the bottom a box pops up saying "An error has occured". Now I can change the settings (Put the device to 945, set the name, check email as notification type, enable Auto-Start), but I cannot click the blue "Start Live Track" button. When I press there nothing happens, the click is ignored.

Things I have tried:

- Tried making the 945 my main activity tracker, no change

- Tried adding another emergency contact with email + phone info, no change

- Tried both before starting an activity on my watch and after starting, no change

Live Track that *did* work:

If I trigger the Incidence and Assistance feature, there is automatically a LiveTrack session started. This seems to work (but it cancels my workout so its not very suitable for actual use, it just shows that the Live Track feature itself can work...)

Additional Information:

CIQ Android 4.18.1 (most recent in Google Play as of 2019-05-26)

945 Firmware: 2.40 (9fb5b6c) (most recent as of 2019-05-26)

  • For other 945 users you do not experience this issue? You can start a live track from CIQ?

  • Update in case anybody has the same issue (or some garmin devs want to fix it): Could resolve the problem by reinstalling CIQ and making sure to grant all permissions that were requested to the app - especially the access to contacts seemed to be the issue that tripped up the LiveTrack page - but instead of re-requesting the permission or showing a message that it needs this access [which it does not, as you can manually enter things like email addresses] it just put "An error has occured" and did not function.
