BBC podcasts don't sync on Spotify

I cannot get BBC podcasts to sync in Spotify, status remains at 0%. I'm in the UK so should have no licencing issues. All other non BBC podcasts sync.

Anyone else have this issue or reducedr it?

Due to limitations, externally hosted podcasts within Spotify cannot be synced to Garmin wearables with our Connect IQ app. Spotify hosted podcasts are able to sync the same as music.

Hi all,

I have opened a case in the Spotify Idea section and it is currently under investigation.

It does not appear that the BBC podcasts are off the table as of yet.

Feel free to vote for the issue…

I am having the same issue. Garmin; any comment on this? Is it due to the BBC?

My BBC podcasts on Spotify no longer appear available to sync on the watch. It looks like the last Spotify update, rather than resolve the issue, simply made the bbc podcasts invisible in terms of selecting to sync.

Has anyone seen the issue resolved? It does not seem to be a copyright issue, as the podcasts are still available on Spotify.

It used to be you could see bbcpodcasBBC on the watch bit they would never sync, now they don't even appear on the watch

I have found that using RunCasts is far better - the system of auto pulling new content when the watch is charging saves time, and player seems much more stable - also it allows me to listen to bbc content. It does cost £5 a month to be a premium member, but for the ease of use I think it is worth it!

I find this unpractical. I am already paying for a family account on Spotify. As such I expect to be able to use access all content which I access on my phone. It is dumbfounding but appears to be a technical issue. I have posted on Spotify forums as well, hoping for a resolution.
