Any word on additional music services?

add Amazon?

I want Apple Music!  I get it for free from Verizon and it's also compatible with my car audio.  I just signed up for Spotify only so that I can listen through this watch but I'd rather not pay for something just for that.

I believe it’s down to the music provider to write the app. If they do that it’ll be supported. I’m hopeful more providers come on line, fingers crossed for Google for me. 

The music provider definitely needs to be involved, and in the case of Spotify, I think it was DCR that mentioned that Spotify had to agree with the implementation on specific watchs.  I really doubt Apple will be wild about providing music to Garmin watches!

I have Apple Music on my Android phone so I don't see why not. 

It may may against Apple's interest (Iwatch). They tend to trap their user's to their own ecosystem.

They recently allowed Apple Music on Android phones though so it's not out of the realm of possibilities.

If true that the providers themselves have to put effort into making it happen, interesting/surprising that Garmin has offline Spotify functionality but Apple Watch doesn’t 

Because Apple Watch competes with Garmin....
