Cadence / SPM

Can someone please confirm if the 945 should be recording cadence / SPM without any additional hardware such as running pod or HRM-Run? My first run yesterday with the 945 shows zero for the entire 2 miles of running.

I'm not aware of any way to disable it so I would expect it to be working. If you've added any watch faces, data fields or CIQ apps then you might want to try removing/disabling them. If you haven…

Cadence does not require anything else

I was afraid of that. Any idea if something may have been disabled to not be tracking cadence? Wondering if I have a faulty unit. Everything else seems to be working just fine

Shouldn't need anything special, my 2+ year old 230 does this out of the box.

I'm not aware of any way to disable it so I would expect it to be working. If you've added any watch faces, data fields or CIQ apps then you might want to try removing/disabling them. If you haven't added any, try a hard reset - press and hold the top left button until it powers off then restart. If that has not worked, contact Garmin Support. Up to you whether or not you Factory Reset before you contact support, but it's quite likely they will ask you to do so.
