Wrist: left or right in "Profile settings" in the menu of Garmin 945

In the watch there is this choice. I'm curious why the watch wants to know which wrist I wear it? Maybe it's important for the accelerometer?

I think it’s for the “wrist turn” gesture which activates high-power mode for CIQ watchfaces and turns on the backlight.
