I have compared to a high-end Nonin Pulse Ox and the 945 is at typically 4-5 points lower. I wish there was a way to calibrate this sensor.
My FR945 reads about 3 pts lower than my fingertip meter and my Fenix 5x plus. I have compared the F5x+ reading with a reading in the doctor's office several times and they were within 1 point each time…
My sleeping pulse ox seems to dip into high 80's/low 90's at certain times during the night...i can almost certainly confirm through my wife that i do not have sleep apnea. i think the dips happen…
I did compare it with a medical device and had the same issue as most of you, Mine is always 4-6% less than the medical grade device. Same thing happen with all the members of my family, a did put it in all 5 of them just to check, there has to be something a bit off with this device. One curious fact, everytime I go out and do anything outside, somehow it does measure within the same range as the medical device.
i think Garmin have to think about a calibration option, so you can enter the measurement of the medical device and the onboard sensor use this difference to correct the measurement, my readings are mostly 4-6% lower as on a medical device too
Same here, my pulse ox drops almost every night, but I have no other signs of apnoea except I feel tired frequently, but there are many other reasons for that. The watch usually shows gaps in the gap before these drops, so I think u are right about it - we sleep on that arm or the watch just moves and can’t take measurements .
Thanks! This has been bothering me a bit. I feel healthy, but it's below 95% most of the time, which ought to be sign of something not good.
