Does anyone know if I could use my Edge 520 Plus device as an extended display to view data screens from the 945 and utilise the faster processor on the 945 for routing, ClimbPro etc??
If the 520 Plus supports extended display, then yes. I know the 520 doesn't but I'm not sure on the 520 Plus. I have used a FR935 extended display to an 820 and had no issues, so I would hope they didn't remove functionality.

That is great new, thanks. Presumably everything you would see on the 935 across the various pages is just displayed on the 520+ (which does support extended display)
There is only a few things that come over. I'd have to do a search, it's probably in the manual though. The big ones I was looking for do come across, like power, total distance, total time, and speed. I'm not sure about the climbpro elevation display though.
