Forerunner 945 LTE; does LTE work? New 09 17 2024; ver 17.30; Tech Support indicates poor LTE signal.

Use the LiveTrack/Live Event Sharing on almost every run (3-4 times a week) and all works just fine.

But, are you using LTE connection? In other words, are you carrying your phone while running?

LTE, no phone.

Dan; that’s good news. Do you have a critical advice about setup or confirming lte is active and stays active? I have been through the procedure many times and multiple geographic locations. LTE doesn’t hold; which leads to restarts, green and blue triangle loop. If I carry phone it works well. LTE is the issue. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Nope.  Nothing special.  No reboots and looking at the LiveTrack after a run, all data is there w/o any gaps.  My wife sees my location during my runs for the entirety of my runs.  That wouldn't happen of LTE wasn't working.

Have you reached out to Garmin Support? You may have a faulty device.

Thanks for update. Still no luck here. I just visited local open mall in MA (I live in RI). No obstructions and I never saw the LTE connected status icon or message. The invite did go out and no mobile phone. Alternatively, when I have my phone with me all works.

My last call with Garmin Support suggested I try hard reset; I have done several over the past few days, with no impact.
