Activity button (top right) now freezes watch when trying to choose an activity

After updating to the latest beta, I can longer start an activity - pressing the top right button immediately freezes the watch and all other buttons. I hard reset is the only way to get things working again. Tried multiple times and it happens every time.

  • I've updated to 17.28 directly, (is not a beta), did 8 activities since and cant reproduce this problem.

    2. May we, if necessary, have permission to view your Connect account?
    3. In which country are you located?

    I have been emailing Hannajh directly about this. She has a video from me showing the issue, along with my Garmin folder. But, yes, you can email me, and view my connect account. My watch was bought and set up in Canada, but I am currently in Australia and was here when the firrmware update came through (just in case that somehow has some possible impact on why it might have broken things).

  • My new 945 LTE also randomly and repeatedly restarts during an activity. 

  • I too am starting to encounter the issue where most of the buttons on my 945 LTE freeze and I am unable to clear the condition. This happened first during a run on Feb 06, which cleared itself eventually, and again tonight, Feb 08, just browsing my data. The only two buttons that are working for me right now are the backlight and scroll up. However, I can’t hold the scroll up button and reach the main menu. Holding the power button for 15 seconds and turning the watch back on isn’t clearing the condition. I’m currently at 17.28 for about a month now.

    Is there progress with the investigation, Adrian or Garmin Support?
