Support is different than availability.  SW features look like they are still coming, but I can't buy a new one.  At least from the Garmin web site (US).

True that. However, in Europe, it's still available and more expensive than e.g, the 955 regular version.

Most 3rd party sellers have it listed as discontinued. A Garmin rep told me they are still making them, but honestly I think that's a lie. Seems pretty clear to me that they are just trying to get rid of remaining stock.
