After upgrading to 16.18 the battery life of my watch took a turn for the worst. No activities today (no GPS, no LTE) and the battery life already below 50%. Curious are others suffering the same fate?

Very interesting. Reached out to garmin for support and they had me do a soft restart. When my watch came back on I got a notification that my live track session had ended. So it seems like my watch got…

Mine seems to be holding about the same as it has been roughly since owning the watch. I tend to charge the watch every ~4-5 days cycling the battery between ~95-100% and ~30% in that time.
I use GPS activities for about 3 hours a week, with roughly half of that including LTE use. I generally do indoor riding for another 3 hours a week and swim for an hour a week. (neither of these tend to use much battery).
In general I can't see how I could ever get 14 days in smartwatch only mode (I think my best estimate there may push to 11 days or so, which is, to me, dramatically less than 14), but at least I can confirm I haven't been seeing any notable changes since getting 16.18.
Nope,, mine seems to be holding as per my previous SW version. Which, in my case, was the SW 14.52

So it seems like my watch got stuck in a loop where it was using the LTE for no reason. Battery issue is fixed now but who knows if the issue will return.

For what it’s worth, when I wrote the issue I was only seeing weird LTE connection status once in awhile for an extra ~10-20 minutes and I never noticed a huge battery drain associated (maybe due to the short time duration).
If others are seeing this too, please chime on on the Beta bug report thread. Otherwise, it will not get fixed.
I have had the exact same issue and saw the same message after a restart. Definitely a bug in there.
I'm having a different issue with mine after the update. Mind is randomly shutting off. I'll look to see what time it is and the screen is blank. Hold the power button and it turns back on. This is happening several times throughout the day. Reached out to tech support Saturday and they said let the battery drain completely and then charge to 100%. I have my doubts this will fix the issue. Curious if anyone else has this same issue.

I believe this is what happened to me today after a bike ride using LiveTrack/Spectator messaging. Started ride with 85% charge. Finished ride a hour later and saved activity. A few hours later, watch buzzed at me to turn on battery saver. Watch was dead a bit after that. I didn't check the LTE connection, but will on future activities.
