v15.19 OWS Stroke Rate Glitch with Auto Lap

I recently started open water swimming again this year and when reviewing data can see both swims have really odd Stroke Rate Glitches synchronized with my Auto Lap. I have it set to 400 yds and see the following graphs:

I don't think I magically got to 150+ strokes per minute every time my wrist vibrated slightly :)

Anyone who reads this and is NOT seeing the issue can you reply? I'm truly curious if it's just my family's watches. Looking back on old activities it looks like I could faintly see it on last year's swims (older firmware) and looking at my wife's fenix 6s pro... her swims show it too.

Maybe either (1) no one is open water swimming (doubtful) (2) no one uses auto lap (default is on at 500 yds though, I think?) (3) no one looks at stroke rate data (maybe likely) (4) Somehow it's just our watches.

Garmin-Sierra also created a ticket and I'm going to run some more experiments myself, but noting I'm the first report has me puzzled.

Thanks for posting. Do these spikes occur every time the watch vibrates? Do you notice any other bugs due to the watch's vibration, or even a rattling noise?

So far I'm not sure my watch vibrates while open water swimming other than auto lap? It _may_ vibrate / alert randomly in my swim as I have my phone in a safety buoy and I believe I usually feel something for live track starting or random text alerts (but don't see strange stroke data... if it is vibrating there :) )

Since noticing it showing up on my OWS, I realize I can see it on every OWS I have done (3-4 of them) this year. My last OWS last year was using software 7.07 and did not show this effect.

I don't think I've noticed any other issues related to my watch's vibration, but am unsure what metrics you would be most worried about. I don't think I hear any strange noises or loose sounding parts inside if I shake the watch.

I set a distance alert every 300yds instead of an auto lap. This still drove vibration but didn’t edit the data file at all. In this case the stroke data looks as expected (no weird spikes). It seems like the auto lapping is causing the issue. I haven’t tried to manually lap while not interrupting my stroke to see if it also does it though…

If you use “lap alerts” instead of auto laps it seems to record ok, you just don’t get splits recorded. The stroke issue seems to also occur when manually “lapping” to set splits so appears to be caused by the lap data recording (or something that occurs with that).
