When choosing to send the pulse to an external app (bike computer for example) the sending turns off by itself when starting a workout on the watch. This bug was introduced in the public beta 7.07 and still persists in the public beta 13.21 and is reported.
It's practical to send the pulse to something more easy to look at during the workout but still record the workout itself at the watch.
