Releasenotes 7.11 ???

Hey  what about release notes for 7.11 which is obviously GA already?

  • Thanks! Here's the same thing, as text (captured from the network request from Garmin Express to Garmin's servers.)

EDIT: Since this changelog is much longer than the official one in the pinned forum thread, and it says words to the effect of "various bug fixes and improvements" more than once, I assume it actually applies to several firmware versions. I broke it up into sections based on educated guesses.

Yeah, that's obvious, but people may want to read the release notes regardless, in the mean time.

Personally I didn't think the release notes would still be available for me in Garmin Express because I had already updated through wi-fi, so I had kinda given up on ever seeing them until 3799551's comment. I grabbed the text in my comment directly from the software update info web request between Garmin Express and Garmin's servers, and posted it after making a few minor edits (basically replaced "[bullet point] [dash]" with "[bullet point]").

I could just delete my comment if you'd prefer to wait until Garmin posts an "official" version of the release notes tho.

EDIT: I think I get what you're saying - we shouldn't be doing Garmin's job for them, because that incentivizes them to not do it. I could say the same thing for how we still buy Garmin products at release when they're full of bugs and do a ton of unpaid beta testing and bug reports....
