Spotify sync function totally no functional

My forerunner 945 LTE, less than 3 months old, has CONSISTENT problems syncing with Spotify. I have loaded a playlist on my watch. When I change that playlist, I need to update my watch. When I press update downloads, the screen crashes and returns to home. What is happening? Is the watch just a lemon? I have done all software updates. I have done hard resets many times. I have deleted and added my Spotify again and again. I have checked the WiFi connection. It is always fine. Please help.

Is there any update on this issue? I recently noticed that when I re-sync spotify, it does nothing. Actually, that's not true, it does re-up my "lease" on the content, so at least I can keep playing the content I have on the watch. But it won't update the content.

Haven't tried any type of re-installation, as I'm afraid I'll be stuck with no content at all.

Any advice?

I have had the same problem with it crashing back to the homescreen. I have found the the solution that works for me is to start over and hold the "BACK" button, select "Music," "Music Providers," Spotify, and then the function I want, such as "Update Downloads." Then it works (until the next time).

Update: I was able to make it work by logging out of spotify (on the watch) and logging back in. Logging out deleted all content, as I feared. The first sync after doing that failed, but the second one re-downloaded the content.
