Problem with Livetrack

Since December 2021, I am in possession of a Forerunner 945 LTE watch. On which I have activated the Livetrack function.
When passing through an area with low LTE coverage the LTE connection stops. But unfortunately, when arriving in an area with correct LTE coverage the LTE connection remains interrupted. The watch signals until the end of the training that Livetrack is disconnected.
Does anyone have the same problem or can somebody tell me how I can resolve the problem?

  • You have to open the livetrack on the garmin app on tour phone before you start i think

  • Are you talking LiveTrack over the 945LTE's own LTE, or connected to the phone?  Either way, if you have Live Track Auto Start set for the activity, it should start automatically, and should continue through interruptions like you mention.  Since it works at the start, it's not a problem with starting, just continuing.

But to answer your question, I do occasionally have it fail to continue when I get back in cell range, but it's a bit random.  I've also had that issue with other Garmin watches doing LiveTrack through the phone.  Seems to go through periods where it works great, and then when it doesn't.  I suspect it's more likely an issue on Garmin's servers effecting all LiveTracks rather than something specific to the 945lte.  Just yesterday my wife's LiveTrack on her F6 stopped part way through and then I just saw the little swirling circle the rest of her outing.
