Status of HRM and Training Load?

There are a few threads with similar issues but I haven't seen any definitive conclusions. I am on firmware 3.07.

Does using an external HRM cause exercise/training load to stop working? I am considering picking up the Polar Verity Sense, but I keep seeing threads that this is causing problems with load reporting and that Garmin/Polar are blaming each other. Does anyone have this working successfully?

I use external HR most of the time, have no issues with either HRM-Pro over ANT+ or Polar H10 over BLE. I think I tried Verity Sense with non-Forerunner Garmins in the past without issues.

I did yesterday two training sessions with the FR945 LTE (4.07 beta) and the Polar Verity Sense. The watch reported a training load of 1 for both sessions, which is complete nonsense. So I would stay away from the Verity Sense (although it's a fantastic product). I would blame Garmin. No problems with Garmin HRM Pro, haven't tried Polar H10.

Used Verity Sense on several occasions with 4.07 and FR945 LTE, didn't have any training load issues. I feel like the issue has to do solely with the latest FB bits and not the external sensors. In fact, I see similar reported in Fenix 6 thread too, without any sensors involved.
