Missing Battery Saver option during sleep?

anyone else find somewhere else to enable this? i do not see this Sleep Time option under Battery Savor (only status and update)

i think this would be a nice way to get back some of the inefficiencies in the watch's battery consumption.

Customizing the Battery Saver Feature

The battery saver feature allows you to quickly adjust system settings to extend battery life in watch mode. You can turn on the battery saver feature from the controls menu (Viewing the Controls Menu, page 56). 1Hold .

  1. 2  Select Settings > Power Manager > Battery Saver.

  2. 3  Select Status to turn on the battery saver feature.

  3. 4  Select Edit, and select an option:

    • Select Watch Face to enable a low-power watch face that updates once per minute.

    • Select Music to disable listening to music from your watch.

    • Select Phone to disconnect your paired phone.

    • Select Wi-Fi to disconnect from a Wi‐Fi network.

    • Select Activity Tracking to turn off all-day activity tracking, including steps, floors climbed, intensity minutes, sleep tracking, and Move IQ events.

    • Select Wrist Heart Rate to turn off the wrist heart rate monitor.

    • Select Backlight to disable the automatic backlight.
The watch displays the hours of battery life gained with each setting change.

  4. 5  Select Sleep Time to enable the battery saver feature during your normal sleep hours.
TIP: You can set your normal sleep hours in the user settings on your Garmin Connect account.

  5. 6  Select Low Battery Alert to receive an alert when the battery is low

  • Good find, I think this is another feature / manual mention that is not here.  Item 6 in the manual (Low Battery Alert) is also not in the software.

I had not checked the manual but noticed how limited the Power Manager / Battery Saver options were compared to my wife's fenix 6s, I think her watch more closely (maybe fully) matches the 945LTE manual.

This all holds true with the beta firmware 4.07 as well.

  • thanks for confirming the absence in the latest beta. i submitted a ticket to Garmin. this would be a really helpful feature. i corresponded with the developer of my favorite watch face ((JBlack) and he suggested that one of the bigger consumers of battery is the BT (even more so that 1hz seconds/HR). he says his Sleep Time feature works really well on his Fenix 6X and saves significant battery drain.
