Heart Rate Gauge Data field in 4 data field layout is now very small!!! Used to be big? Now you have to switch to a three data field layout to get the bigger hr number? There is no way I can see this while I am running! Why did this change?!

Here's a side by side with a 945. I had noticed the font was small, but hadn't thought to check it against an original 945 until your post. I agree this is far too small for practical use. Yet another strange difference between two models which should theoretically share a majority of their software.

I consider the fonts to be too small across the board on the LTE. I understand why it's smaller in some places to fit in more info, like on the weather widget. But in most places it's unnecessary. Often there's just more blank screen space instead. I don't think anyone was complaining that the 945 fonts were too big.

Bigger fonts are always better when running, especially at my age =) .  But I agree the screen size is the same on the 945 and the 945 LTE, GARMIN please make use of the whole screen when creating layouts, bigger fonts are always better.  I am coming form an Apple watch and that is one thing that Apple did well was maximize the screen usage, especially when performing activities.  I never had an issue viewing my Apple watch while running.

in german is big when you take 'Herzfrequenz' and its small taking the option 'Herzfrequenz anzeige' (with the colors on the top)

Right, but some folks use the gauge to quickly see where they are in relation to their heart rate zones. I personally find the gauge quite useful and often run with only the single field, whole screen gauge. The point of this post is that there is clearly room for the font to be bigger as it once was. 

i submitted a ticket to Garmin and hope others will too.

following up: i got this response from Garmin:

Our engineering team is aware of this and the issue will be resolved in the next software update. Be looking out for that when it is sent out. Hope this helps.
