Missing the My day and Health Stats widget.

I recently purchased a Garmin Forerunner 945 LTE after owning a Fenix 6 for a few years. So far I am very happy with the change!
But i do miss the My Day and Health Stats widget on the 945 LTE, i can't find it on the watch or Connect IQ store. In the 945 LTE user manual it says that the My Day widget should support the watch; https://www8.garmin.com/manuals/webhelp/GUID-2BA30752-33FB-42B8-8484-69C491706113/EN-US/GUID-AF0D7E36-EC9B-4D6E-BCE3-8F61F27DAE10.html

Am I the only one experiencing this problem?

  • You are not the only one. I, too, miss these widgets. I can only guess they decided to do away with them since you can have all of the info in separate individual widgets. But it was much cleaner to lump the health and day stats into these sub-widgets. Hopefully they will be added back in.

I’m coming from a non-LTE 945 and have noticed numerous little bugs and differences like this - backlight coming on when it shouldn’t, graphics not lining up properly, data screens disappearing, missing settings options, etc. It’s almost as if they completely rebuilt the firmware (which maybe they did?) and somehow missed a few non-critical things like these.

One would think the 945 LTE firmware updates, which involved mostly stylistic changes (aside from LTE integration and the new lap features), would have been built off of the already stable (at long last) 945 firmware. Maybe some code got lost in the copy-and-paste? Maybe it’s far more complicated than I’m imagining? Either way, here’s to hoping it gets cleaned up. At least the major functions of the watch seem to be working well.

  • Hello, we are aware of this; I will have more information as it's available.

  • I have been told by Garmin Support that the My Day and Health Stats widgets have been "done away with." I pointed them to the online documentation listing them as available, so I'd bet they'll be removing them from the owner's manual soon.

I also submitted a long list of other nit-picky bugs I've discovered in the UI, such as the HR widget backlight, missing Battery Saver options, odd Notifications widget behavior, the small data screen gauge fonts, and others. I was told that cases were created to address each of these. So here's to hoping the next Beta or stable software version will address some of them.

  • i see a lot of strange bugs and i have sent reports to them too.

i noticed in your list is odd notifications widget behavior. can you look at the other thread i started and comment if you are experiencing the same thing? they want me to send my watch in, but after having this happen on two separate watches, i am pretty sure this isn't a hardware button and i don't to send in my watch with "good buttons" and my glass protector on a wild guess that they can solve a small, but annoying problem.
