Quick Release Kit for Forerunner 945 LTE?

I already used the Quick Release Kit for Forerunner 945.

Unfortunately it does not match to Forerunner 945 LTE Disappointed

Is there any plan to offer a kit for the 945 LTE. Or does anybody has an idea for a workaround? E.g. adapted spring bars...

  • Can you take a photo of the issue?I though it used the same 22mm straps and so would be compatible with the quick release kit. or at least with the quickfit one buy.garmin.com/.../010-13013-00

  • The reason why it does not fit is that the diameter of the body of the 945 LTE is 4mm smaller than of the 945 non-LTE. Also the quickfit you mentioned does not fit.

  • thanks for claryfing. I was going to buy one of them

  • It is very sad. It is not clear why Garmin delivered the diameter of the Tritlon watch smaller than the 935/945? Everything would be fine, but I think that still Garmin will release a new mount in the near future, although it may be like with 735/745 (without an adapter), and those who need an adapter will buy the 945 version without LTE.

Did you manage to somehow solve this problem and maybe you tried this kit here?

  • Whatever engineer thought this was a good idea shoudl be fired.

The only unuseful suggestion I got from Garmin support was to buy a Garmin edge and use the extended display mode.

So let me get this straight, I should buy yet another device, the size of a freaking cell phone to mount on the limited space of my tri bike cockpit, forgoing all the gauge displays I'm used to for text only displays, and an addition $500.00 because Garmin doesn't want to make a quick release?

EFF that! Device space on my bike is precious, and my old 945 barely fit as it was. Also im not adding yet another possible point of failure on race day with yet another gadget that needs to talk to other gadgets.

No Garmin has jumped the shark here and the engineer responsible needs to be shown the door.  ITs false advertisement to advertise this as a triathlon watch, and I will be filing such a complaint with the FTC along with a detailed explanation of why its false advertisement.

Garmin you have lost a customer, not only that i will do everything in my power to burn down any goodwill you have gained by my using your devices. Im literally going to paint my race bike in a "garmin sucks" paint scheme with the sole goal of being able to lift that up on the podium at my next world championships race.

To say I'm absolutely livid about this would be a vast understatement.
