another bug: Hotkey: widgets during Activity... unexpected behavior?

another bug/issue i've discovered this weekend. and first i thought i was imagining, but it happened again...

while using a GPS activity, i often like to use the hotkey to return to my widget (eg, see my main watch face or check out the weather widget to see UV level/temp)> when i do this on the 945LTE, i have now seen on 2 out of 2 occasions that the watch seems to turn of the GPS radio and stop collecting distance/speed/pace information.

this happened during both a bike ride and a walk.

this is not what would happen on my 935. i could go to my widgets and the GPS activity would run in the background collecting speed/distance/pace info.

seems like they may have done something in the newer firmware. i never updated my 935 beyond FW13.30, and as far as i know, it worked properly whenever i went to my widgets on the 935.

I figured out that the issue was caused by a ConnectIQ widget that I recently installed. After I uninstalled it the 935 resumed its longstanding behavior of continuing to accurately track workouts while I am using widgets. The widget is called "Tasker Widget".

As discussed in the other thread (https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/running-multisport/f/forerunner-935/269217/crowd-source-test-can-you-hotkey-from-activity-and-have-gps-still-running-while-you-view-widgets) this seems to be a known issue when you use a Connect IQ widget as opposed to a native widget. I have no idea if it’s always been this way, or if it’s new behavior tho.

i've made sure i only have factor Connect IQ widgets on my 945 LTE and the problem still exists. i hope they fix this (along with many other things) in the next firmware release.
