forerunner 745 or forerunner 965

Garmin proposed to replace my out of warranty defective (battery life is horrible now) forerunner 745 for 156 euros and a new forerunner 965 is available through a webstore in netherlands for 454 euros, i wonder which option should i go for. Any suggestions?

    965 supports respiration rate tracking during exercise, Multi-band GNSS/GPS(ie greater accuracy), HRV, much longer battery life, touch screen(Not a fan) and more.

    I plan to upgrade from a 745 to a 965 later this month. I am interested in better GPS, longer battery life and respiration rate during exercise.

    This also shows the differences between the 745 and 265. No maps, pay extra for the model that supports music and the battery on the 265 is better(also get better GNSS/GPS and HRV support).

    In the US we have Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals. They are a good time to buy.

    Good to hear from someone in a similar boat. I have put up my current watch for sale. Hopefully i can sell it in time and get the new one

    I did upgrade to a 965 in November 2023 and gave the 745 to my son. It works well and I like it.
