Mine has been stuck on 58 for the last 7 weeks. It is the longest it’s ever stayed without moving but I’ve also had multiple times where it hasn’t moved for 5 weeks so I’ve given it little thought. I’ve had some really good and some bad weeks where I expected to see some change but nothing. Guess it’s time to file some feedback to Garmin. I will say within those 7 weeks, my training status has changed from maintaining to productive and back a few times
Unless your workout data looks incorrect (HR, Pace, Elevation, etc..), I wouldn't be so certain that it's a Garmin bug. Aside from completing the workouts, do you have anything else that makes you believe that you are fitter than you were several weeks ago, like a race effort or time trial? Are your tempos or internals getting significantly faster or feeling markedly easier? If not, you may just be plateauing a bit, which is normal. Sometimes VO2 max improvements are easy to get, especially with newer runners, but they generally get harder and harder the more experience that you have and the closer you get to your own theoretical max.
I made a marathon in 24 April ,2 days before I had a flu,my vo² at that time was 53 ,i made the marathon very conservative because of the flu and after that my vo² drops until 48. I take about 3 weeks to recover of the flu,but I run during that time, last weeks i felt a lot better and faster, the vo² rise to 49 and stopped. i did a 10 km test alone last week in 44:08 and I know I can make a little bit better and the predictions maintain in 45:13 . But it's what i want to understand,if it is a bug or a plateau. But since i run with Garmin , when I run consistently,i never have same vo² for several weeks, but there is always a first time!
The VO2max that you see in your watch and Garmin Connect is rounded to the nearest whole number. It also seems to be a rolling average over a number of days or weeks (since it never changes by more than a certain amount, even when you have a really bad or really good run).
If you sync with the free site https://www.runalyze.com, you can see your Garmin VO2max with 2 decimal places, which might give you a better idea of whether this is actually a bug or not.
In runalyze, click on Configuration (near the top-left of the page), Dataset and check the VO2max (by file) checkbox, in the Display column.
Already check,i totally forgot i have my account linked to them. In the majority of the runs its between 50 and 52 ,in intervals is 48/49 and some below.
