When will updates be released for Asian software version devices?

Any idea when the next update will be for Asia based devices?

Garnin stratgey for this region is strange as it seems no use buy garmin product if you live in Asia (same lack of updates for many other garmin proucts for us). Its been many months since last update to 5.90 for SEA software version device. This is the list of bugs so far... might be more... 

  • Animations do not display during a workout. Once starting the workout only the timer and other data is shown, and the text name of the step, but no animation. (bug I reported last year and was promised a fix!)

bugfix in 7.56:

  • Improvements made to on-device sleep detection and sleep staging.
  • Improvements made to Run/Idle detection algorithm, particularly when detecting when the user has stopped.
  • Other minor improvements and bug fixes.

bugfix in 6.82:

  • Improvements to phone connection reliability.
  • Fixed a reset on power up issue that affected a small number of users.
  • Fixed a possible indoor climb crash found in the previous beta.

bugfix in  6.78:

  • Updated incident detection to better distinguish between supported and unsupported activities.
  • Other minor bug fixes and improvements.

bugfix in  6.09:

  • Improvements to the resting heart rate algorithm.
  • Minor SpO2 updates to improve messaging.
  • Fix an issue that could cause interference with Firstbeat driven metrics like Body Battery, VO2 Max, and Intensity Minutes.
  • Other minor bug fixes and improvements.

bugfix in  6.02:

  • Fix an issue that could cause a smart trainer connection to interfere with pace from a foot pod.
  • Fix an issue that could temporarily prevent temperature and altitude readings after a pool swim activity.
  • Other minor bug fixes and improvements.

Not even thinking of all the new features!  I am still in warranty and wondering if this is grounds to get a refund?

    Still only the version 5:90 in Asia !?!

    Incredible, and I would even say, UNACCEPTABLE.

    We need strong statement from Garmin about this.

    For similar thing, APPLE would have been sued long time ago.

    FORERUNNER 945/ 745/ 245 MUSIC (Forerunner 745 will be updated in early August.)

    1. Newly added sports activities: Jump Rope (requires download via Connect IQ)
    2. Added Enhanced Strength functionality, which includes an improved workout preview with a muscle map, improved user interface in free and workout modes, and improvements to the Rep and Weight editing experience
    3. Improvements made to on-device sleep detection and sleep staging, including a new combined Restlessness score and graph
    4. Added Run/ Walk/ Idle detection to the activity summary page for running activity
    5. Added support for syncing resting heart rate across devices
    6.  Added a new alert to notify the user that the Wrist Heart Rate Sensor is disabled. This alert will be displayed whenever accessing a heart rate-related glance while the wrist heart rate sensor is turned off on the device
    7. Added new notification to inform user that Wi-Fi networks configured to WEP security are no longer supported
    8. Updated support for Shimano Di2
    9. Updated support for Varia RCT 715 widget
    10. Other minor improvements and bug fixes

    As a user in APAC region, I am kinda disturbed needing to come here and check regularly for updates. Been a long time Garmin fan, but I will consider getting my next watch/tracker from some other brands.

    People are talking about Software Version 10.40 while we APAC guys are stuck at Version 5.9 Disappointed

    I got update to 9.60...

    1. Minor improvements and bug fixes

    thats it... I dont see anyyhing that ROW got up to their later version (ike HIIT), didnt get anything that was mentioned in the press relrease (e.g.Jump Rope, strength map ) we didnt get the Connect IQ v5 that non-Asians got in v 7.68.

    • I tested the  guided workout animations and that bug was fixed - we can now use that feature for the first time
    • I tried downloading a HIIT workotu from garmin connect - it sends it to my watch, but there is no HIIT sport on the wath to actually use it

    Is that it for us??? Or is there small chance that tjhis update fixes some things to prepare for a larger update as per the press release coming in August???
