Feature request: Backlight on gesture per activity

This option is located in global settings, and can be enabled/disabled for all activities.
But for some activities, it is not needed and distracting/annying, for example all activities inside like fitness/gym/pilate...

So it would be perfect to move this setting in activity options.

I agree! I like the back light gesture when running outside in the dark, but not for indoor activities.

I agree as well. Definitely need for running outside but not indoor activities. I did a “dark yoga” class and my watch kept lighting up. Even when I tried to turn off backlight during the activity it would come on.
The instructor kept saying “the person with the Apple Watch lighting up” can hit these buttons (ugh). Eventually I had to wrap a towel around my wrist.
