Automatic lactate threshold detection never gave a value

Hi everyone, I have been using my FR745 for almost 6-7 months now. I have activated the automatic LTHR detection in the settings. However, I have never received a value for my LTHR. I am not using a HR chest sensor.

Very naively, I added (manually) an estimation in the beginning when I started using my watch. My estimation might not be very accurate, but it is definitely not way off. It might be on the high side (maybe up to 5-6bpm higher than my actual LTHR). Is this the reason that maybe my runs are not triggering any automatic LTHR detection? Shouldn't it suggest some values?

My typical running distance is half-marathon, I do a few easy low-HR runs per week (3-4 times about 30-45mins each) and typically one longer run and 1-2 intervals workouts per week, so I definitely do some runs (if not all) that qualify for LTHR detection (I think the requirement is to run continuously above some % of max HR for 20 or 30 minutes).

I never did the "structure" LT test that the watch has. I have never seen an automatic LTHR detection and my original manual value has been unchanged.

Is this normal? Should I not be getting LT estimations? If so, what is the reason (either I need HR chest strap, or maybe it will never recommend suggest to reduce the LTHR if I have set it too high).

Thanks for any help.
