Counting Pool Laps

My forerunner 745 has stopped counting pool lengths/laps and now only shows meters swum. Can this be changed?

I have FR745
My pool size is 20m and set as 20m on my watch. When hit start and push off the wall it records a lap after 10m. When I reach the other end of the pool my watch records another lap. So I have swam 20m and the watch says 40m. It is very frustrating

anyone know how to correct this?
