GPS

Hello,

My Garmin 745 seems to be unable to connect to satellites as part of tracker exercise.

Its basically brand new and has only been used for a few weeks. When I got to the exercise the bar stays red and doesn't move however long I wait. I've tried one of the other suggestions of turning off and on, syncing, deleting the "RemoteSW" folder, syncing etc.

Anybody else having the same issue? Or know what I can do?

Sure. Download the GPS Update File from here: http://www.filedropper.com/gup3799

Put it in the \Garmin\RemoteSW folder on your watch, disconnect the watch, let it install, and your GPS Version should be…

My watch is about 2 months old and all of a sudden today, the GPS didn't work either. Followed the instructions below but if it doesn't work, I'll be calling Garmin on Tuesday...really sucks. Love using this watch. And ironically, this happened after a system update through Garmin Express from yesterday

Hi Everyone,

Had this problem for a couple of weeks without any solution. Garmin Support Chat told me they had no way to help me, and that I should contact Contact Support HQ, so I did. Was on the phone for about 20 minutos checking what we all already know (GPS: 0.00/ CPE: Missing/ Garmin Express does not help, and neither does reseting, soaking, or other). They processed a return form. However I decided to try my luck emailing them, and Garmin Internation Product Support (Sean) was able to do the fix. He sent me a file (.GCD) to upload manually to the watch. First try didn't work, but the second one, it updated the GPS and know works fine (6 days, and still working).

Craziest thing - the RemoteSW folder already contains the exact same file, only named in lower case letters. I guess someone at Garmin messed up... Placing this file in there (which is the same one, only named in ALL CAPS) solved the problem for me.

Hi, same issue here with the gps... the link provided in filedropper doesn't exist.

Any ideas of what can i do?

I would suggest you try ola_strandberg 's approach. The file I posted on filedropper is already 7 months old and I really doubt it will fix your problem. If ola_strandberg fix doesn't work I'll re-upload the file.
