No HR/Stress/Body battery not working after workout

Hello

I have had my Forerunner 745 for about a week now and I have noticed a problem/bug. After 2 of my 3 runs, neither HR, Stress or Body battery were giving any measurement.

They will only restart once I have done a soft reset of my watch. After the reset, HR continues to measure as if it was just after the workout, so without a gap for the "missed time".

Anyone else having this problem? Will this be fixed in an upcoming update?

Thanks!

  • It is quite normal for the stress score and the body battery not working while you are or were active, which also means that it is paused for some time after working out until your body recovered a bit. That can take some time. You can also see those gaps when you were walking.

That being said, the HR measurement should still work. If you have an external HRM while working out, the watch HRM takes a little time to report proper readings. Do the green lights work after ending your workout?

Dunno if those two things apply to you situation, but keep them in the back of your head while you investigate further.

  • Thanks for your answer! concerning the green lights, I will pay attention to it next time.

The thing is, I'm speaking about a matter of hours. e.g. today, my run ended at 15h00 and at about 18h00, I noticed that none of the mentioned parameters were measuring. Even at this point, my HR graph looks as if my run had just ended and not 3 hours ago.

  • Okay, THAT should not happen!
First thing to try is a factory reset - if that does not solve the problem and you contact Garmin´s support on that matter, you can say/write you already tried the factory reset without success.

  • Yeah I will do the factory reset when/if my watch starts acting up again. Thanks!

  • Sorry I could not help more.
    Good luck!
