Hey @Garmin-Brooks
Any chance you could let the community know why the software just jumped from 5.10 to 5.20 with no explanation?
I've compared the change logs and there doesn't seem to be any differences!
Cheers

My guess would be that they found some issues with 5.10
Woke up this morning and noticed that my 745 had updated to 5.2.
Did run went O.K no issues at the moment. Fingers crossed
First and foremost, Garmin have GOT to sort out 2FA - just allow browser memory.
Anyway, mine was updated to 5.20 but I'd like to know what the changes were - especially as it went from from 5.10 to 5.20!

5.10 was released and an issue was found with stability, so it was stopped. It happened with the 945 and 245 too. The firmware was adjusted and released as 5.20. Garmin's firmware is proprietary. They're not going to tell you exactly why 5.10 was stopped and 5.20 released. Even if they did, how does it change anything for you?
It changes nothing, it's called being inquisitive. Garmin are normally very good at explaining their software updates - if not directly then via sports tech journalists like DCRainmaker. It's odd that there was no explanation - although clearly you have the inside information as you know it was a stability issue....

No. I have no inside information. The 945, 745 and 245 all had FW releases on the same date. They were all stopped at the same time. They all had a new release at the same time too with no changes to the log. I've been a Garmin user for more than 10 years now and it's happened at least once before. It's a reasonable conclusion since I've seen it before. Occam's razor.
Edit:
Garmin are normally very good at explaining their software updates

I just read your "thank you Garmin" thread where you said you just came to Garmin 3 months ago. Now you're stating what's normal and odd for Garmin?
