Pool swimming

Today for some reason my watch did not count/detect laps (stayed at 0) so recorded duration of activity but no lap count nor distance. It has not done this before, and I have checked it is set to 25m lengths.

Did you select open water swim (requiring GPS) by mistake? Otherwise you may want to do a soft or hard reset

thanks for replying, yep pool swim definitely chosen. Have turned watch off/on and did update via express. Don’t think sensor issue as still counting steps. Swimming again Thursday so hoping update etc has done the trick

Try a hard reset. But if not counting steps either, it may be that the accelerometers are faulty as both steps and swimming turns rely on them. I never heard of that though (maybe it was dropped)? Hopefully the reset works. Otherwise contact Garmin.
