forerunner 745 not good enough (second try)

you can cancel my post ... whatever... i find it just pathetic. 

how can you defend a gps that instead of 11.25 it counts 10.55 going all over the places off cliffs and on the freeway ?  

5 years of fr 235 and i thought i deserved something better... instead i'm stuck with this brick

    I think al lot of people don't understand how these devices work. Civilian GPS is only accurate 3 to 4 meters in ideal conditions, Thats enough to show you on the road instead of the sidewalk. Tall buildings and trees are just some of the things that can effect GPS signals. Plus you're wearing a device no bigger than an Oreo cookie. Not a lot of room for a big antenna to receive those gPS signals. Also, making sure your watch has a GPS fix before you actually push the start button will improve accuracy. If you push the start button and immediately start doing your activity before the GPS has a good signal, your distance will not be recorded accurately.  

    Getting a GPS fix is not instantaneous even on Handheld GPS units.

    I'm pretty happy with my 745. I've compared it one of my Garmin handheld GPS units and the results are pretty close.

    They know how it works - inferior to their 235

    I have the 235 and the forerunner 745 and I'm pretty happy with the 745. It's accurate like the 235 , running with both lap marker always buzz at same time. Probably it's a bugg,make a hard reset or talk withJoy Garmin support, maybe is an defect unit and they replace it. Tell the 235 is better than the 745 is the same thing you tell iPhone 4 is better than the iPhone 12 JoyJoy my only complain with the forerunner 745 is wrist based HR . Accuracy of GPS is the best out there of the last 4 years.
