Heart rate resting

Hello together,

since the last update I have a problem with the heart rate resting. I use the 7days heart rate resting (average) for my heart rate zones. Now, the watch detected a value of 42, but in the app and in the "average" on the watch is 46bpm.

Best regards from Germany,

Chris

  • Hello, the image of your watch isn't indicating that your resting heart rate is 42, it's indicating that during the last 4 hours your heart rate low point was 42.

"RHR: This value is for the current day. It is calculated one of two ways. For users that wear their watch while sleeping, the watch will read and record the average of all readings while they sleep, excluding periods where any steps were detected or the measured heart rate falls outside reasonable bounds. A minimum of four hours of sleep time is required to register a reading. For users that do not wear their watch overnight, RHR will be far less accurate and a rough estimate will be determined based on the lowest average reading over a one minute time period during the day."

Because of how Resting heart rate is calculated it's entirely possible, (and in fact will occur every single time that you're lowest heart rate reading for the day will be lower than your resting heart rate.) At least on the view that you took a picture of, that's just showing your lowest point of the last four hours.
