745 GPS not connecting

Hi,

Hoping to get some help here.

My Forerunner 745 suddenly experienced a GPS issue. When I went into run mode, the GPS bar would not move an inch and stays red in the starting corner. I stood in the open for 10 minutes and the bar still did not move from the starting corner.

It's weird as I just did a run the previous day and the GPS was perfectly fine. I'm on software version 3.50.

Anybody had the same issue before and has a way to solve it?

Hi there, try the following steps from a window computer:

Plug the watch into a computer
Access the device drive
- Windows
  - Connect the Garmin device to the computer
  - Press the Windows key + E on the keyboard to open Windows Explorer/File Explorer
  - Select This PC (Windows 10 only)
Open the Garmin drive listed
Open the Garmin Folder
Right Click on the Remote SW folder and delete it
Sync with Garmin Express

I have the same issue too. Am on 3.50. Was working fine a few days ago.

Just an update. I connected to garmin express and synced my watch many times. Don't know if anything was updated, but i then went to a very familiar location for the watch and went into run mode. And all of a sudden, after a short while, the gps worked again. Don't know what worked or what didn't but that was my experience.

I followed the instructions from Garmin-Brooks above, did the syncs and delete a couple of times, turned on/off GPS... and finally... it worked again. Just did a short run and all seems fine now. Thanks alot for the suggestion!

But after, you have do a workout exercise? My device lost signal frequently after and during I do a run or a mtb exercise.

I have the same problem! And nothing works.

Sunday just stopped fixing Any GPS signal! Red bar always!

I contact garmin service, and told me to send watch back to see what is the problem. Gps problem start after update 5.20
