Hi I will do a ski mountaineering next week and I want to prepare the session.
As I can't know the track until I'm on the place, because it always change depending of the snow conditions, I want to set up the mountain top as a waypoint and then use a straight line to it.
So I go to the garmin connect mapping tool, but can't find a way to create a waypoint...
Next I go to my mapping app (osmand+), set a waypoint and share it, but connect is not a valid sharable app (while sharing a track works...).
Then I asked google, and found that I can use garmin explore. Do I really have to install a new app just to transfert a waypoint ?
Anyway, I install the app, create a waypoint and can't connect my 745 because it is not compatible...
Then, last solution, I create the waypoint in my watch using the gps coord. Very unpleasant to use buttons to enter coord, and when I wanted to set the name, I give up typing the real long name and set some meaningless letters.
So, to sum up:
Did I miss something ? How to send a waypoint to the watch ?
Can you add the ability to send a waypoint file to garmin connect, as we do with gpx ?
