Hey there,
Does anyone know which GPS-Chip is used in FR745? Is it a Sony or a MediaTek?
And if it is Sony: Is it the same as on FR245M?
Kind regards!
Dennis

Tess Igot info from developer.
Confirmed different chipset. For 745 was getting info for Sony CXD5605.
Technical background is visble there :

You can see probably future chipset for new Garmin Sportester.
Different version against 945 and the others
OK, thank you very much. Hopefully it works as good for me as the one in FR245.
Did my first training today with FR745. FR745 is as unaccurate as Fenix 6X Pro and FR945. On a distance of 6,1km the FR745 measured a distance of 5,88km which is a deviation of 210 meters. Pace-date was horrible (while FR245 monitored steady pace of 6:00min/km FR745 was unsure whether it was a 6:44 oder a 6:27). Last lap was the worst: While FR245 measured a pace of exact 6:00min/km, FR745 said it was 05:06,8 - which is not possible since I ran a really casual training.
Will return the FR745. Not worth the money.
Did you wear both watches on same hand?
745 might be broken since it should give you same or better readings as 245
Of course I did not wear both watches on the same wrist.
The FR745 is not broken. This is the exact same behaviour as I have experienced on three (no joke!) Fenix 6X Pro and a FR945.
