Audio prompt issues

I cannot get any audio prompts during activities on phone or earphones. 
Worked well with 645 on same iPhone (X) and AirPods ..:(

Any one face(d) the same issue?

  • Try to Start the Activity - After A Few Seconds - Pause the Activity - After a Few Seconds - Resume the Activity - After a Minute you might get the Prompts on the Phone.

    This Has Worked 4 Me in the Past. It seems to Wake Up the Bluetooth.

    I changed phone from Iphone X to Iphone 12, unfortunately the same issue (expected...).

  • Same problem. Airpods connected to watch work great, but airpods connected to iPhone results in no audio prompt. Interesting: when playing audio on iPhone and testing the dialect in Garmin connect app, the music stops and doesn’t resume after the voice completes.

  • Is the Text to Speech Working Properly on the Phone ? With Other Apps (US English Language)

  • I have never used that option (not even sure how to activate), even when I receive the audio prompts on the FR645.

    What makes you think this could help to solve ? I am interested by any lead!! Thanks in advance.

  • The Garmin App uses Text to Speech (Built in to the Phone) to Playback the Prompts.

  • I have the same issue with a FR745 and an iPhone 12 Pro.  I chat'ed with tech support and they said there was already an open ticket with a few users attached to it.  They had me send a diagnostic log, pics of watch settings and screen shots of garmin connect settings and added it to the ticket. 

    If you are experiencing the same issue please contact support so they know you have this issue.  Maybe if a larger number of folks are added to the ticket it will bump up the priority as it appears to have been going on for a while now.

  • I had already written to the assistance a few months ago and they told me that the fault was only the iPhone (but it was not true). I try to write to him again indicating this thread. Shrug‍♂️

  • Exactly the same issue and actions for me, i sent all these information 2-3 months ago to , and there is still no solution available. Very disappointing. My old and cheaper FR 645 is working just fine, on the same mobile phone.
