New 745 - Strange Button Feeling

Hello,

I proudly upgraded from a 735XT to a 745 and I like the various improvements.

What is strange for me is the feeling - to top right button has no response, no click and the others have it. Sometimes more, sometimes less but they do.

This leads to the result, that I am not sure if my button push worked and I always have to double check...

The functionallity is still ok, when i press enough, but this sounds like a production issue, or what do you guys think?

Hi chong67,

I'm curious why did you swtich to the 745? How does the gps, hr, and screen clarity, and backlight compare to the 945? I've got a 245, but with all of the Holiday shopping deals, I'm looking at a 745, 945, or fenix 6s pro. Or, I just might wait till spring to see what new comes out. Thanks.

same here - left middle button has abnormal click compare to the rest. Hope it doesn't fail over time.

Well my replacement is here by the way - the start / stop is now clicking as well as the cancel/back.

But all three on the left are not. The start/stop is most important (imo) so i will try for now and hope the others dont die over the time.

This quality is really stange and actually not ok, especially for the price.

mine are far from perfect as well, but coming from FR 645 it is still good. With FR 645 buttons did not have any click at all and it was not nice. However, I kinda got used to it

Garmin-Brooks - can you comment on all of us having differing and inconsistent button-feels on our FR745's? Is Garmin aware of these inconsistencies? Are they going to do anything about it?

I have the problem too. All 3 buttons left without clicking. Forerunner yesterday.

I have the issue as well Garmin-Brooks , I can click the top right button "twice" , the first time it feels like a click, but nothing happens, only after pressing it more sth happens. This is somewhat annoying since it often happens that I "click" it but nothing happens.

Hi Garmin-Brooks, I have the same problem, with the need of double clicking a the "down" button and the "start/stop" button to get proper respons. This issue started today and i bought my Forerunner 745 1 week ago.

Hi,

I sent in my FR745 because of some software issue and just recived a new one in my mail box. The "strange button feeling" is actually supposed to be that way. Both the one i sent in for service and the new one i recived from Garmin was like that. But i also thought it was strange so i called them up and they confirmed that thats how its supposed to feel.
