I have just completed a run (normal thing huh) on looking at the map of the route, it used to show where each mile was, has this been removed?

AFAIK there never was lap markers on the map. What you might have seen was lap numbers, which could coincide with miles if you had 1-mile autolap enabled on your watch. So check your autolap setting on the watch.
laps are there - not km or miles
so if you set up your run with 1 lap = 1 mile... ;-)

How do I get the laps to show on the map?
