After the most recent software update this week, I haven’t experienced the ghost touch issue anymore — which is a relief. However, right after the update, I noticed that the watch has become significantly slower, especially when navigating through menus or selecting options. The overall responsiveness has dropped quite a bit.
This makes me concerned. With so many bugs and inconsistencies, I start to wonder whether the core functions of the watch — like workout tracking and sleep monitoring — are actually working as expected.
I mention this because, coincidentally, after switching from my Forerunner 265 to the new Forerunner 570, I noticed a significant drop in my HRV readings compared to my historical data. Now I’m unsure whether the issue lies in the new device, the previous one, or if the data is indeed correct and the HRV drop is a real sign of stress or perhaps an underlying infection.
It’s becoming hard to trust the data, and that’s frustrating when we rely on these metrics to guide our training and recovery.
If anyone else has experienced similar changes or has insights into the accuracy of HRV readings between models, I’d really appreciate hearing from you.
